Dir, Buner and Swat will Sing Again

As the brave sons of the soil fight and defeat the vile Taliban in Swat, Buner and Dir, good news and hope must be the staple diet for Pakistan. In this regard I wish to share a video from a Buneri playing music in days gone by.

However I remain optimistic that the Taliban will be routed this time hence this post seeks to share some hope. So Pakistan and Pakistanis stand tall and united, fear not for the dark hour will pass. Dir, Buner and Swat will sing again and soon.

URGENT APPEAL: PLEASE HELP PAKISTAN’S IDP’s

This is a personal and urgent request for national and international help to save Pakistan’s internally displaced people now numbering over 1 million. Bye Bye Buner

I am seething, and so livid for the vile Taliban have more or less took Buner under their satanic empire. It pains me more than anyone can know that the brave people of Buner have been left at the mercy of barbarians whose religion is the religion of death and destruction.

In the meantime the sons of Satan have for all intents and purposes claimed the land of Buner as their own under the guise of spreading sharia rule (read satanic rule) and tableegh Taliban-style. After the fall of Swat, and now Buner as well as FATA that fell years ago, I am suicidal for I can see that the country is going to the dogs and Sarhad is falling unless we act, and act now.

The state is AWOL with the poodle provincial and national governments impotent to act to save Buner. The suited and booted Gillani government, Zardari presidency and coward Kayani’s army of Islamabad and Pindi sit idle and enjoy the trappings of power. At the same time the so-called opposition is silent to the massacre of Pakistan with the Mians of Lahore and the Khan of Insaf all looking the other way. Pakistan will not forgive you all, for this great betrayal.

It is time for ordinary Pakistanis to come out on the streets and pressure their power-hungry and coward leaders in office and in the opposition to stand for Pakistan against the Taliban. Let us save Pakistan from the sons of Satan, it is do or die time and let the battle be joined.

Battle Buner

After the fall of Swat to the spawn of Satan, the Swat Taliban are now moving to occupy neighbouring Buner. Not only is this development worrying it is also a blatant violation of the so-called ‘peace deal’ and a challenge to the writ of the disappearing state.

However I am hopeful that the Taliban have bit off more than they can chew in Buner given that the brave people of Buner have decided to resist. A jirga attended by elders from all over the Buner District on Sunday reaffirmed that they would defend their land and vowed to pull out the Taliban from their area.

Taliban militants entered Buner and occupied several hujras in different villages and were joined by local supporters of different religious groups. An emergency jirga was convened which unanimously decided to resist Taliban with announcements made through loudspeakers that resulted in thousands of armed people from all over Buner coming out and rushing towards the Gokand Valley in Buner to face the Taliban.

The Buner jirga even sent a team of Sufi Mohammed’s TNSM to convince the Taliban to retreat, otherwise the Buner people would attack them. At the same time the local administration has deployed heavy contingents of police force and cordoned off certain hujras where the militants are camping. The jirga warned the militants of stern action if they did not leave. The standoff continues to this day.

Let us not forget that the Taliban have been repulsed by the people of Buner twice before since November 2007. The Taliban will not be third time lucky. Battle Buner is critical for Pakistan, it is a battle we must win so that the long war against the vile Taliban can be won.
