Pakistan tujhe karta hai salaam
Few Pakistanis are lucky enough to be draped in the Sabz-e-Hilali as they leave this world. Such a status is reserved only for the shaheeds of Pakistan who become immortal as they live on in every remaining Pakistani. Indeed no amount of thanks is enough for the sacrifice made by our soldiers, it is a sacrifice made exclusively in our name, so that Pakistan can sleep easy and in peace.
On April 30, the Pakistan Army led the nation by marking Yaum-e-Shuhada in paying tribute to Pakistan’s past and recent fallen, those shaheeds who are forever adorned in our Sabz-e-Hilali. Other Pakistan pays tribute to those martyrs too and echoes entirely the sentiments of the Chief of Army General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani who led the tributes, as shared below:
