Beware Blackwater is in Pakistan

Blackwater

Pakistan’s ever impressive Interior Minister, the one and only Rehman Malik said in recent days that he would resign if Blackwater was found to be operating in Pakistan. Readers will know of Blackwater and its evil for it needs no introduction as the blood of innocent Iraqi civilians and their stories of blood, death and destruction do all the talking that is necessary.

The furore and even fear in Pakistan over a Blackwater presence in Pakistan is therefore well placed even if it has a new name XE Services. The truth has come to the fore detailing Blackwater’s secret presence in Pakistan thanks to an an article written by Jeremy Scahill writing in The Nation. Democracy Now has conducted an interview with the author and I share the video interviews below so readers can hear Pakistan’s Blackwater story from the horses mouth as it were. Part 1 of Jeremy Scahill’s informative interview is shown below:

Part 2 is shown below:

Blackwater must be forced and not asked to leave Pakistan and leave now.

It is the duty of our leaders to ensure that this land of the pure, a second Madina and a land of holy water is not bathed in black water quite literally and her evil. That said I will not join the selective and anti-state chorus of boos and blame targeted at the PPP government alone as the military leaders including General Kayani are equally responsible for allowing Blackwater to do her evil. And so the real test begins now for the troika of Messrs Zardari, Gillani and Kayani all of whom are equally responsible for getting us here and  who must ensure they get Blackwater out of Pakistan.

PS: A polite request to my favourite Interior Minister, please resign and provide ‘reham’ as per your glorious name .
