Swat Smiles as IDP’s Return
I am smiling as is Swat albeit slowly in delight at the good news that Pakistan’s internally displaced people have begun returning to Swat and the wider Malakand Division. No words of praise are good enough to honour the people of Swat and Malakand Division who have sacrified their all for Pakistan. Swatis have given up their homes, livelihoods and even their lives for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and all of Pakistan salutes them.
The real test begins now for the government must deliver for the people of Swat and Malakand Division without fail. Al Jazeera has reported on the happiness of returninh home and also the fear factor of a Taliban return that exercises the minds of the now legendary people of Swat and Malakand Division as shown in the video clip below.
Too often the Pashtun of Pakistan are taken for granted and even seen as inferior to other Pakistanis. However the real truth is that the Pashtun have been the most passionate of Pakistanis and are the jewel in Pakistan’s crown as shown in their love for the nation from 1947 to this day.
The people of Swat and Malakand Division gave up their today for Pakistan’s tomorrow, need I say more?
